Was gutted to learn, the other day, that Adie's gone. Earlier this month. Cancer. FFS! Guy was an absolute Gentleman. And I don't use that term lightly. But, he was. If he could do Anything, to help Anyone in Pest Control? Consider it done! That was Adie. And I knew the man. Not just the reputation. The old mate of mine, who used to sneak in for a brew and a chat. In Hull, this was. After he'd left the council. Running his own business out of the boot of a little motor. God, how I gave him stick about that! Sat here, laughing and crying in about equal measure, to be honest. How fitting though, to be able to remember him here. On this dinky little back water of a site, where only about a dozen people a day look in. Doesn't matter to me. Wouldn't matter to Adie. This place is just as he too would have wanted it. Quiet. Understated. Just here for those who know what to ask. Put ye feet up, Aides. Relax, mate. Let's chew some fat together, like the old days. Ye know, mate? Aside from all my Young's catalogues; About 90% of this entire bloody site is Your material! I made it, because of You! This place was formed as a way of sharing, with everyone else, what You had given us, mate. Here's to you, Adie. Sláinte.
